Plant trees with ArborMundi

Awareness of the climate and biodiversity crisis is widespread, but the need for action is still unmet. That’s why the mission behind ArborMundi unites students for putting the brakes on climate change, protecting biodiversity and raising awareness for its importance. Every year, we plant over 100 native trees and endangered hedges and have been doing so for two years.

This project aims to improve ecological diversity and habitat for birds, insects, and small animals by enhancing the wild hedge and creating an adjacent mesophilic herbaceous border from moist tall herb communities. The wild hedge and herbaceous border provide important food, nesting places, and shelter for a variety of species. This year ArborMundi is part of the sustainability week so you can participate in our plantings too. With shovels and plows we are planting seedlings for creating a biodiversity oasis at Irchel.
